Giv360 was proud to highlight Bill Brown with There Bar in Brookhaven on the Money Marketing Monday segment of The Eric Holtzclaw Show. Bill discussed the great (and not so great) marketing methods he’s learned through his years in the restaurant business.
There Bar is a gastro pub that concentrates on a unique menu, craft beers and cocktails, and an inviting atmosphere. Their attention to detail and creating the perfect customer experience is what brings back clients time and time again.
To get customers in the door in the first place, Bill explained that word of mouth marketing and a booming social media presence are the best forms of marketing.
One of the worst marketing methods, in Bill’s opinion, can be coupons or flash sale sites. He explained that coupons aren’t usually great because coupons attract those that aren’t typically return customers (the life line of a restaurant) and they rarely tip!
Bill discussed the dreaded “death list” that food bloggers may put a restaurant on when they find the restaurant using flash sale sites. The bloggers erroneously equate the use of these tactics with restaurants that are experiencing cash flow problems.
